Marquetería en Paja y Oro: Una Nueva Técnica Artística

This year, Cartier unveils a new take on the classic artistic technique – marquetry – showcased on a timepiece in straw and gold. This feat of craftsmanship is measured by: 75 blades of straw in different sizes and shades; 11 colors; 65 watchmaking elements in white, yellow and pink gold; more than 100 hours of work, 97 of which are spent on the dial alone. Together, they make up the golden design of a dazzling watch that celebrates the expertise of the Maison’s craftsmanship.
